Ways To Ask Someone To Prom and some great gift ideas…
Here’s the situation, boys and girls: prom is only a few months away. You have the outfit, the shoes, the ticket, but no date. Maybe
your secret crush turned out to have a much-too-secret boyfriend or girlfriend. Maybe all your friends already have dates. Maybe the thought of asking an ex makes you shudder. You’re quickly turning desperate.
But wait…what about that one guy or gal in that class you have together who you kind of like but haven’t really made a move on yet because you aren’t sure if they’re interested? Ah-ha! Okay, but how do you ask them to prom?
Try hiding puzzle pieces in helium balloons in places they’re sure to find them (locker, gym locker, their desk, their mailbox, or have a teacher hand one to them), and by the end of the day, when they put all the pieces together, it’ll say…okay, do we really have to spell it out for you?
Is he/she a photography fan? Hand them a roll of film to develop, on which you’ve taken pictures of the words “Will you go to prom with me?”
Give your prospective date a bowl full of goldfish crackers and a note that says, “Out of all the fish in the sea, I want you to go to prom with me!”
Does he/she sing in the choir, or play an instrument in the band? Work with their choir or band director and replace their sheet music with “modified” pages, the lyrics of which ask them to prom. Or, if you want to get really into it, arrange an impromptu performance of a special song for him/her, then ask them to prom at the end!
Are you a practical jokester? Cover his/her car (or locker) with post-it notes, then attach one to the door/locker handle asking them to prom. Or fill their locker with tennis balls, so that when they open it, they all come bouncing out…but first, make sure you put a sign in their locker saying something along the lines of, “Let’s make a racket at prom together!”
